Deal hacks at Bloomberg are back on it, pumping out M&A scoops galore over the last few weeks.

The latest tale from the arch rivals at the financial behemoth is about longstanding takeover target Temenos, the Switzerland-listed banking software company.

According to Bloomie, Thoma Bravo has rekindled its interest in Temenos and "expressed an interest" in buying the company via talks...

Why, you might be asking yourself. Well, I was chasing a bid tale about Temenos all day today and then suddenly arch rivals at Bloomberg popped up with the scoop about Nordic private equity firm EQT considering a takeover bid for the Swiss banking software giant...


Temenos under the spotlight - again!

Temenos got a few punters hot under the collar today after the Swiss banking tech group saw its shares rise almost 6pc during intra-day trading and close at a fresh all-time high.

Now, to be clear Betaville has no fresh news or insight but I did do a piece earlier this year in The Sunday Times about how SoftBank was studying an audacious plan to set up a rival payments system to PayPal.
