Friday, 03 March 2017 9:49 amI see one of my favourite ex-Telegraph colleagues, Harry Wilson of The Times, has also noted GVC appears to be preparing for its next major deal by putting debt financing in place.
Tuesday, 28 February 2017 3:45 pmAccording to sources familiar with the matter, investment banks - such as JP Morgan - are said to have put in place a big debt financing package for GVC to use as funds for major M&A tansaction. Some sources claimed GVC is interested in some kind of tie-up with Playtech, the gambling software and services company founded by entrepreneur Teddy Sagi. According to one source, GVC could be interested in a reverse merger deal that would value Playtech at £11.10 a share.
Friday, 16 December 2016 11:59 pmGood sources have told little old Betaville that Paddy Power Betfair has also been talking to Ladbrokes Coral about a takeover.
Friday, 09 December 2016 6:37 pmAccording to my sources, Ladbrokes engaged Deutsche Bank and Greenhill to advise on the negotiations. Meanwhile, GVC hired Houlihan Lokey, Nomura and Investec to advise on and finance the deal, which could have valued the bookmaker at up to 180p a share.
