Little old Betaville wasn't sure it was worth following up the story about the American billionaire Elon Musk dropping hints on X (formerly known as Twitter) that he might buy Ryan Air, one of Europe's biggest budget airlines.
Thursday, 27 October 2022 10:01 amIs it safe to assume that the $44 Twitter takeover deal will complete this Friday now that Elon Musk has changed his profile on the micro-blogging site to "Chief Twit"?
Tuesday, 25 October 2022 10:09 pmBloomberg is now reporting Elon Musk's $44 billion acquisition of Twitter is set to complete after the maverick billionaire entrepreneur told bankers he plans to close the transaction this Friday.
Thursday, 14 April 2022 7:31 pmSo, it was a good call by my old boss at The Daily Telegraph - Richard Fletcher, now business editor of The Times - to splash on the Elon Musk Twitter bid rumours.
Wednesday, 13 April 2022 8:24 amThere has been plenty of coverage over the last few days about Elon Musk's stakebuilding in Twitter and what it could mean for the micro-blogging website.

Monday, 06 November 2017 9:11 pmCNBC's David Faber landed a great scoop today about Walt Disney's recent deal talks with 21st Century Fox. This is particularly evident with aspects of my recent Twitter stories, which are being mis-represented on Twitter (I realise there are many ironies here).
