So Italian hacks at the Corriere della Sera are reporting that US investment firm Castlelake is looking to team up with the Mediterranean Shipping Company to mount a joint bid for FTSE 250-listed easyJet.

Castlelake has announced it owns 2.14pc of easyJet.
