Hacks at the Wall Street Journal have just landed a decent scoop about the long running Paramount Global sale talks.

According to the WSJ, Sony Pictures and Apollo, the private equity giant, have submitted an all cash $26 billion offer for Paramount, the US-listed media and entertainment conglomerate, just as the its exlusive negotiations with Skydance conclude...


Apollo in talks to buy Arconic Corporation, reveals the WSJ - Part 2

The Wall Street Journal has just trotted out another story about Apollo purchasing US-listed Arconic Corporation.

According to the WSJ, Apollo is "nearing a deal" to buy industrial parts maker Arconic for around $30 a share or $3 billion.

This report comes after the newspaper revealed Apollo was sniffing around Arconic in February this year.

Shares in Arconic have leapt 30pc in the US pre-market.

MGM launches $10 billion bid for Ladbrokes owner Entain, reveals the WSJ

The London market hasn't even yet opened for its first full day of trading of the New Year but already there is fresh multi-billion bid on the table.
