The Guardian have just published an intriguing article about the on-off sale of Chelsea Football Club.

Most of the market seemed to think the sale was off yesterday following the news about the British government sanctioning Roman Abramovich.

But now hacks at The Guardian are reporting that a select group of potential buyers are being considered as potential owners by the UK government (is that Nadine Dorries?)...

Private equity stalking Babcock International, reports the Daily Mail

Intrepid Daily Mail hackette Francesca Washtell has landed a line about a possible takeover of Babcock International, Britain's largest defence contractor.

So, it was great to catch up with old colleagues and friends from The Sunday Times and the Mail on Sunday tonight for John "The Ridge" Collingridge's leaving do before he heads of to become head of business at The Guardian...
