There is still plenty of talk circulating the London market at the moment that dealmaking activity has dropped off a cliff.

Yet, every morning this week there has been a fresh deal announced on the regulatory news service - albeit at the smaller end of the market.

Oh look - 3i has just confirmed Betaville's scoopette from last week about the private equity firm's plot to sell Aspen Pumps.

In the end rival buy-out firm Inflexion - led by dealmaker Simon Turner - snapped up the specialist pump manufacturer that designs, manufactures and distributes specialised mini pumps that remove condensate water from air conditioning and refrigeration systems...

REVEALED: The company behind the London Vet Show is being lined up for a £300 million sale - sources

CloserStill Media, the company that puts on the London Vet Show, could be about to change hands for between £250 million and £300 million.

Sources familiar with the matter said Inflexion, the private equity firm that owns CloserStill Media, has appointed bankers from DC Partners to run an auction for the business.

It's thought Clarion Events, which is backed by US buy-out giant Blackstone, is likely to be one of the frontrunners for company...

Betaville understands that Inflexion, a London-based private equity firm, is in advanced talks to purchase a stake in Huws Gray, the Welsh builders' merchant based on the Isle of Anglesey.

Huws Gray hired HSBC last year to run a "strategic review" of the business, which generates almost £180 million in turnover...
