Apologies for the tardy update Betavillers but after another hectic week I only just noticed that the board of London-listed eyewear firm Inspecs recommended a takeover offer from entrepreneurs Luke Johnson and Ian Livingstone.

I see Inspecs Group has confirmed little old Betaville's UNCOOKED Alert about the takeover rumours published earlier today.

Inspecs Group PLC, the London-listed eyewear company, has come under the spotlight amid speculation the company is working on a major transaction, such as a sale of the business to a potential acquirer.
