The dealmaker, the bank and the missing skyscraper series - ANOTHER UPDATE

There is a third person chasing Thomas Ryan in the British courts to recover money invested in one the mystery property developer's (hairbrained?) schemes.

Betaville understands that an Australian chap called Dr Drew Thompson has written to Mr Ryan's lawyers to recuperate the cash he invested into a couple of Ryan's "projects". One of the projects was a developement at Grand South in Battersea, London and the other was in Dubai, according to people familiar with the matter.

Anway, unless Mr Ryan, or his lawyers, responds to the letter drafted by Dr Thompson's lawyers sources say he plans to begin legal proceedings in the British commercial courts.

Credit Suisse, though, can breathe a sigh of relief as for once this particular dispute with Mr Ryan doesn't involve the Swiss bank!

Dr Drew Thompson declined to comment.

Gary Summers, Mr Ryan's barrister, said:

"There are ongoing discussions between the parties concerning a roll over of Mr Thompson's first company investment into another project. Mr Ryan has no doubt that ultimately a fair settlement will follow for both parties."..
