Sumptuous lunches, corporate brokers and pitches
This time it's Rio Tinto, the FTSE 100-listed mining giant, that has been making corporate brokers, including the incumbents, pitch for the mandate to be the company's 'eyes and ears' in the market.
Anyway, I hear Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan are the frontrunners to become Rio Tinto's corporate brokers. Commiserations, then, to the likes of Credit Suisse, which has been corporate broker to Rio Tinto for quite some time.
