Montgomery, Mills and, er, Montagu mingle at Happy Kitchen

Last night little old Betaville headed to Squirrel on Harrington Road (no connection with myself) in South Kensington, London, where former The Times journalist Rachel Kelly and nutritionist Alice Mackinstosh held a launch party for their new health food book, the Happy Kitchen, Good Mood Food.

An eclectic mix of business and media heayweights - such as publisher David Montgomerie and electronic goods entrepreneur and Labour party donor John Mills - mingled with uber foodies, including Julie Montagu, the well-known nutrition expert and yoga instructor.

Guests munched on jewelled guacamole and roasted red peppers on rye bread while they discussed super food, Brexit and the potential next editor of the Evening Standard.

Rachel Johnson, the sister of current Foreign secretary Boris Johnson and Mail on Sunday columinst, was also there. The outspoken scribbler has been tipped as a potential candidate to replace Sarah Sands as editor of the Evening Standard but she wasn't letting on at last night's do whether she had been approached about the job by Evgeny Lebedev, the proprietor of the London freesheet.

I guess media types will find out soon enough.....
