Is the tide turning for Odey the Brexiteer? - part 21

Brexit-supporting Crispin Odey might think that Betaville has got it in for him as this website has run a 20-part series highlighting the veteran hedgie's travails with his flagship Odey European Fund.

But the reality is that any new snippet about Odey's performance is potentially newsworthy because there is such as high-level of market interest in Crispin's "calls" given he has made some pretty good ones in the past (think back to before and just after the financial crisis of 2008/9).

So, in the interest of fair play Betaville is happy to point out that Crispin's flagship fund actually did rather well last month, according to Financial News.

The trade rag reports that charming Crispin's flagship fund was up 4.2pc in August, making it one of the best months of the year. Below is the link to the Financial News piece:
