Not exactly but Betaville did highlight in a column a month or so ago in the Evening Standard newspaper that "demergers" are often a way of putting a company or its units/divisions "up for sale" without explicitly saying so i.e. the market float is used as a stalking horse for potential acquirers to get them to pay up.
